Ran Dian, Issue 2, front cover

Issue 2 was the first issue we designed, and established an identity that would evolve over the following issues. The magazine is typeset in Univers Condensed Bold for English and Hiragano for Chinese, and employs a 12-column grid and fixed set of 3 type sizes.
One-side coated card stock is used for the cover and multiple chapter dividers bound into the magazine, and the magazine is perfect bound with pur glue. Each issue uses a different production technique to illustrate the theme.
For Issue 2, the theme was Institutional Critique and two black inks are overprinted on top of each other on the chapter dividers.
