Frankenstein Set documents three projects made by artist Christian Jankowski on the genre of horror. The reader features an examination of the genre, including theoretical texts, interviews, transcripts from artworks, and accompanying image material.

The design was made very quickly and all texts and image content were placed within a couple of weeks. Body parts from Jankowski’s artworks wrap different 32 page signatures of the book. For the book cover, the cover of a Signet Classics version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein was traced and then filled in in red. The three book edges are also printed in red ink.

The book is typeset in Times Sembibold was used in three sizes.
