For the catalog, a saddlestiched 8.5 × 11 inch format was folded in half again, down to 4.25 × 11 inches. The format was first developed by Han in graduate school when experimenting with different formats possible from default US paper sizes. The format was developed further for a landscape, perfect bound format in How Not to Finish a Space.

The crease down the middle of the book works as a layout device to separate image and text content. The book alternates between 2 color and full color sections, and is typeset in Times Regular and Bold.
